It is time for HEROES!
Those real ones;
those not spoken about.
Simply because,
because they are too dangerous
for powers that be
to allow
to exist..
even in memory.
Some of the great ones
defied logic,
power,
rigidity,
and all that stood in their way.
And despite all the mockery,
the defamation,
and attempts
to stop them…
They SHONE
as the Great Lights
they were.
Thank you Biko
for you drum,
your light,
and all that you are,
have been,
and have
embodied.
And as Peter sang :
You can blow up a candle
but you can't blow out a
FIRE,
once the flame begins to catch
the wind will blow it
HIGHER.
