Self-ish-ness

Self-ish-ness

Ultimately

everything we do

is

selfish.

We are trying to be

ourselves

no matter what it takes.

No matter

what price

has to be

paid.

I Iove Tibet

and Tibetans

because I long

for inner peace

myself.

I am excited about

the vikings,

because i desire

to embody

integrity.

And have the courage

to live life

fully,

from and until

my dying breath.

I love the Irish,

cause I long to awaken

the magic

that is hiding

in my own

back

yard.

I bow in a mosque

and pray to the One.

the name of the nameless

whose name

spells

respect.

I long to be united

with the Beloved

so I spill the vine of Mevlana

over my lips

and whirlwind

of Rumi.

I desire desire

and I desire to be desired,

and not get lost in the ignorance.

but in the intoxication of beauty.

I long to get drunk on a glass

of water.

And I long to be free.

So yes even Ayn Rand

was correct,

to a degree.

We long to be who we are.

And we must accept any challenge

walk any territory.

Over come

and difficulty

for the sheer

joy

to be able to be

who

we

are.

Because

this is

the only way

we can truly be

of service

to all.
